Introduction
Ken Mansell is a Daylesford local with sixty years experience as a committed socialist and antiwar activist. He was arrested four times for acts of civil disobedience against Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam war, worked full time for People for Nuclear Disarmament in the 1980s, and was appointed national organiser for the October 1987 protest rally at Pine Gap. He has an MA in History from Melbourne University. He has contributed over thirty essays and book-length works to the Labour History Melbourne website and gifted over 200 oral history interviews to the Mitchell Library in Sydney.
