Listen to stories and contribute towards the maintenance of the church.

An open mic event with past and present community stories, in spoken word, song and poem- The stories are from community members living along the creek, from Shepherds Flat, through Franklinford, Yandoit, Clydesdale and Strangways. An opportunity to listen to, and share stories with, neighbours and friends.
Over the past number of years Yandoit has hosted Words in Winter events. This session will be held at Yandoit Uniting Church, on Saturday August 21st, from 2pm to 3.30m pm, followed by afternoon tea. Gathering together in this beautiful and historic venue, with excellent acoustics, will contribute towards keeping one of the last remaining churches in our local area, built in the 1870’s and nestled amidst bush land, within community hands.

  •  50% of ticket sales will go to supporting this beautiful church. $30/ $20/ $10 (pick your ticket price, that’s how we will be donating to help this local, historic church survive as a community space).
  • Due to possible restrictions, you must book in advance for this event.
Price: donation 5/ 15

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are only releasing 50% of tickets now.

If those restrictions are lifted, we will release the remaining tickets 2 weeks before the festival.

So please don’t wait! If you want to attend, please book early. Thank you!
