Secrets, Lies and Cults

Walkley Award winner, and now novelist, Erina Reddan talks about secrets, lies and cults in her latest crime thriller, DEEP IN THE FOREST.

Fed up with being shunned by locals for a crime she didn’t commit, Charli Trenthan plans to leave Stone Lake and start a new life overseas. But when she makes a gruesome discovery deep in the forest, she has to again fight to prove her innocence. As danger mounts on all sides, she’s drawn into the secrets of The Sanctuary, a conservative closed community on the edge of town, where what she faces becomes so much worse than just ending up in jail.

Join Erina in this lively, entertaining chat about that fine line between intentional community and CULT. It was only when Erina had finished DEEP that she realised that while she’d never joined a cult, maybe she’d been born into one.
