Georgie Rose is a local artist working as a puppeteer and storyteller.
She will be sharing a short shadow puppet performance inspired by the classic and much loved story of ‘Le Petit Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, followed by an interactive workshop about the diverse artform of storytelling through puppetry. ‘The Little Prince’ story explores themes of friendship, love and the importance of human connections, it has been translated into numerous languages worldwide and has become one of the most loved stories.
The workshop will share a variety of different puppets and also support participants to design their own shadow puppets and learn some simple techniques in design and movement in a fun and playful environment.
