Jon Faine presented morning radio for the ABC in Melbourne for over twenty years. In a varied career he has been a commercial and legal aid lawyer, has written two best sellers – ‘Apollo & Thelma, a True Tall Tale’ in 2022 – has worked on film and television shows and writes a weekly column for The Age newspaper. He enjoys washing dishes.
Marieke Hardy is a curator, screenwriter, artist, and producer. She has penned columns for The Age, The Drum, and Frankie magazine, and written for many television shows, including Laid, Barons, The Family Law, Heartbreak High, and Seven Types of Ambiguity. She was co-curator of international literary salon Women of Letters and a regular panelist on the ABC’s Book Club for 11 years. She is a recipient of the 2015 Sidney Myer Fellowship and currently co-curates monthly spoken word event Better Off Said.
Sean M Whelan is a poet, playwright, DJ, podcaster, and film maker. His two books of poetry are Love is the New Hate and Tattooing the Surface of the Moon. In 2018 he began a podcast called More Than A Whelan, in which he interviews creatives of all disciplines about their practices and he creates poems from prompts supplied by his listeners. He often performs his work with musicians and in 2014 he made an album with his band The Interim Lovers called Softly and Suddenly (available to stream on Bandcamp.) He has recently formed a new band called Crystal Veins. He is also the 2020 Poets’ Corner Poet Laureate.
